Urban wetlands are a cost-effective and efficient way to treat sewage. They work well in cleaning up municipal wastewater, requiring less money to set up and run compared to traditional sewage treatment plants. The study compared wetlands and treatment plants, showing that wetlands are effective in purifying water. However, there are issues with wetland construction in China that need to be addressed for better wastewater treatment in the future.
