Stronger light boosts plant growth but hampers photosynthesis efficiency.
The study looked at how different levels of light affect the stomata and photosynthesis of white clover plants. Stronger light made the plants have more stomata and absorb more CO2, but their photosynthesis was not as efficient. Overall, intense light can increase the plant's ability to take in CO2 and grow, but it may not help with photosynthesis.
