City parks in Tongliao were studied to understand the variety of trees and shrubs. The researchers found 70 different species of plants in the parks, with 25 families and 48 genera represented. The trees had a richness index of 49 and a diversity index of 3.0114, while the shrubs had a richness index of 21 and a diversity index of 2.6269. This shows that the parks have a good mix of plant species, which is important for a healthy urban environment.
