New methodology in Yi learning reshapes philosophical interpretations in Qing Dynasty.
JIAO Xun developed a new way to study Yi learning by using diagrams like Pang long and Dang wei shi dao. He created a structure that combined images and numbers, adding his moral beliefs to it. This method changed how people studied Yi learning in the Qing Dynasty. It moved away from focusing on philosophical meanings and images, instead emphasizing logical analogies. However, this approach also blurred the line between the image-number system and philosophical meanings, shifting the focus from philosophical values to practical tools.
