Fertilizer boosts processing tomato yield by 57%, revolutionizing agriculture profits.
The study looked at how fertilizer affects the growth and nutrient absorption of processing tomatoes. They found that using fertilizer increased tomato yield by 57% compared to not using any. Nitrogen was the most important nutrient for tomato growth, followed by phosphorus and potassium. Fertilizer helped tomatoes absorb more nutrients and improve dry matter accumulation. It's important to use nitrogen and potassium fertilizer later in the growth period to prevent nutrient deficiencies in the soil. When tomatoes produced 91680 kg per hectare, they absorbed 3.28 kg of nitrogen, 0.58 kg of phosphorus, and 3.10 kg of potassium to form 1000 kg of fruit.
