The researchers studied complex rocks in the Lower Congo Basin by analyzing logging data and core samples. They identified 17 different types of rock based on the logging data and assigned them geological significance. By creating a knowledge base, they were able to accurately recognize the lithology of uncored sections and develop a diagram of the target area.
