The previous tests on water and sediment regulation conducted on the Yellow River to the Delta Section have shown that the river's development has improved and its flooding capacity has increased. To achieve these positive effects, it is recommended to conduct the regulation for more than 20 days, use a consistent standard for analysis, ensure uniform observation of related indexes, build groins for river training, and study the lower channel variation after the Xiaolangdi Reservoir operation.
