Forest vegetation in Daqing Mountains alters microclimate, impacting air temperature and humidity.
The study looked at how different types of trees in Daqing Mountains, Inner Mongolia affect the local climate. They found that during the growing season, Pinus tabulaeformis, Betula platyphylla, and Larix principis-rupprechtii can lower air temperature and wind speed inside the forest. However, the impact on humidity varies: Pinus tabulaeformis and Betula platyphylla increase humidity slightly inside the forest, while Larix principis-rupprechtii decreases it. This information can help in understanding how forests can improve the local environment.
