A study was done to find hidden bauxite deposits in southeast Chongqing city using geophysical methods. By understanding how bauxite is preserved and where it is located, researchers used electromagnetic sounding to locate the ore-bearing Liangshan Formation. Two experiments were conducted in the Chepan mining area using audio magnetotelluric and high-frequency magnetotelluric methods. Data was collected and analyzed to create profiles of resistivity, which helped outline the geophysical results.
