High Cd levels in soil linked to rice contamination, posing health risks.
Researchers studied how different levels of cadmium (Cd) in soil affect the growth and Cd accumulation in Oryza Sativa (rice). They found that low Cd levels can help rice grow, but high levels don't stop it. Cd in rice is mostly found in the roots, stem, husk, and grain. The amount of Cd in rice is closely related to the total and available Cd in the soil, with critical levels identified for different Cd forms.
