The study looked at rural drinking water safety projects in Ji'nan City in 2009. They found that most projects aimed to solve water shortage issues, with groundwater being the main source. However, the water disinfection rate was low at 88.46%. Water quality tests showed a low passing rate of 32.0%, with significant differences between different areas. Microbiological contamination was identified as the main reason for the low passing rate of water in rural areas.
