Undergraduates today are not reading enough and when they do, it's often aimless and without a structured approach. To address this, a focus on developing a strong reading spirit is suggested, emphasizing persistence, active thinking, and finding enjoyment in reading. The key to improving undergraduates' reading habits lies in establishing a structured reading system that includes basic, professional, selective, and horizontal readings. By helping undergraduates read in a more purposeful and effective manner, we can tackle the issue of lackluster reading habits among students.
