A new soft package rice product was created using germinated brown rice, black rice, and rice. The researchers found that the best mix was 2 parts germinated brown rice, 2 parts rice, and 1 part black rice. They pre-boiled the germinated brown rice for 20 minutes and the black rice for 15 minutes. The ratio of boiling water to rice was 1:1.4. The three types of rice were boiled together for 15 minutes and then sterilized at 121°C for 30 minutes. The final product had a nice color, good texture, and tasted great.
