New fertilizer technique boosts wheat yield and income significantly in China.
A study was conducted on fertilizer application for high yield and efficiency in special wheat. Results showed that using nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizers together increased yield significantly. Applying phosphorus with potassium but no nitrogen was less effective. The optimal amount of nitrogen fertilizer applied from 1996 to 1998 was 211-234 kg per hectare, leading to increased income. Nitrogen fertilizer had the biggest impact on wheat yield, followed by phosphorus, with potassium showing unclear effects.
