New Study Finds Serum Calcium Levels Differ in Wide-Piglets by Age
The study looked at the calcium levels in wide-piglets from a piggery in Qinghai province. They found that the total calcium, bound calcium, free calcium, and free calcium percent in the blood were within certain ranges. There was no significant difference between male and female piglets. Also, younger piglets had lower total and bound calcium levels compared to older piglets.
