A new method was developed to improve the segmentation of capsule images using a combination of Otsu's algorithm and differential evolution. By adjusting the threshold for image segmentation, the method enhances the quality and efficiency of capsule detection in machine vision. Experimental results demonstrate that this approach outperforms traditional Otsu segmentation, achieving better image quality and maximizing between-class variance.
