The lower part of the third member of the Hetaoyuan Formation in the Anpeng district, Zhao'ao oil field, Henan, shows different types of sedimentary environments dominated by fan delta facies. These environments include fan delta front, profan delta, nearshore channel, and offshore channel. The sediments in these areas come from nearby sources, have coarse grain sizes, and show intense water movement. The rocks also display distinct bedding patterns like massive, parallel, and cross beddings in conglomerates and coarse-grained sandstones.
