They found that on fields with high phosphorus levels, not adding phosphorus but using nitrogen and potassium together increased maize yield, spike length, diameter, grain number, and seed weight. The best treatment was using both nitrogen and potassium, resulting in the highest maize yield and soil phosphorus content.
