Untapped Coal Reserves in Dengjiapu Could Ease Energy Shortages in Hunan Province
The Dengjiapu coal area has coal layers from different periods. In one zone, coal is found in 1 to 10 layers which are suitable for mining. By studying the coal in the Longtan and Lower Carboniferous rock layers, the researchers discovered that the Shaoyang area in Hunan Province contains valuable coal resources. Understanding these coal formations helps in planning future coal exploration and can ease energy resource demands. The findings highlight the potential for coal mining in Dengjiapu area and the importance of identifying coal-rich regions for resource planning.
