Dianchi Lake Drowning in Pollution, Unfit for Human Use
Researchers studied the pollution levels in Dianchi Lake by testing nine different factors like pH, oxygen levels, nutrient levels, and algae content at forty locations over a year. The lake is highly polluted and mainly suitable for industry and agriculture. The northwest part was the most polluted, followed by the north, middle, and south areas. Pollution levels were linked to nearby industry and farms. Pollution was worst during the rainy season, but improved in winter and spring. The study helps understand the pollution in Dianchi Lake and suggests ways to prevent further pollution.
