Winter wheat canopy interception impacted by temperature and humidity for growth.
The study measured how much water winter wheat plants catch from the sky and how it evaporates. They found that the plants caught the least water when they were flowering, and the most when they were growing quickly. The water disappeared faster when it was warm and dry, and slower when it was cold and humid. Also, if the plants were wet from sprinklers, the water disappeared quickly, but as they dried out, the water stayed longer.
