Optimizing Nitrogen Use in Rice Farming Boosts Yields and Efficiency
The study looked at how different amounts of nitrogen fertilizer and planting density affect rice yield and nitrogen use efficiency. They found that using the right amount of nitrogen and planting density can significantly increase rice yield. More nitrogen and higher planting density led to more spikes per plant, but fewer grains per spike. The best results were seen with a nitrogen rate of 194.9 kg/hm2 and a planting density of 22.1×104 seedlings/hm2. Increasing planting density can boost rice yield with low nitrogen, but too much nitrogen with high density can decrease yield.
