Desertification in Gansu Province Slows Down, Alleviating Land Degradation
Researchers in Gansu Province studied desertification land using remote sensing data and field surveys. They found that the total desertification area decreased by 232564 hectares from 1999 to 2004, with an annual reversal rate of 0.21%. This suggests that desertification slowed down and became slightly less severe during this period.
