Grain Size Impacts Landscape Patterns in Loess Hilly Region Mapping.
The researchers used satellite technology to study the landscape of Gaojiagou Basin. They found that grasslands were the main land type, but other areas had scattered and complex patterns. The size of the area studied affected the results: as the area increased, some landscape patterns changed gradually, while others fluctuated. The best size for studying this area was found to be between 75 and 120 meters.
