Gas drainage technology was used to reduce gas emissions in high gassy and thick coal seams. By focusing on the crack zone in the mining face, researchers found that draining gas from neighboring seams was more effective than traditional methods. The gas drainage rate in the coal mining face increased by 53% using this approach.
