A new method for reusing software components was developed to improve efficiency and quality in software development. The method involves creating a new component class directly from an old one, reusing interfaces and events while also defining new ones. Identifiable features are used to bind components together at compile or run time. Experiments on mobile telephone projects showed that this new method helps in making software development more efficient and improving the quality of software systems.
