Highly fertile soil in Picea Crassifolia forest boosts ecosystem health.
The study analyzed soil properties in a Picea crassifolia forest in the Eastern Qilian Mountains. Soil density and porosity increased with depth, while soil moisture decreased. Soil organic matter and nitrogen levels were high, indicating good soil health. Potassium levels were moderate, but phosphorus levels were low. The soil pH was neutral. The findings suggest the need for better protection and management of the forest ecosystem.
