Mozi believed in universal love, influenced by ancient Chinese cultures and Confucian ideas. He thought love should be given equally to all, moving from loving others to loving oneself, and extending to all people worldwide for mutual benefit. He promoted a non-aggressive approach based on mutual benefit, religious and political sanctions. However, his idea of universal love was seen as unrealistic.
