A new model called Mixed Naive Bayes (MBN) was created to improve on the Naive Bayesian classifier. MBN divides attributes into subsets and trains them using a method called Tree Augmented Naive Bayes (TAN). The results from these subsets are combined using a formula. When tested, MBN showed higher accuracy in classifying data compared to Naive Bayes and TAN classifiers.
