Coastal wetlands in Shenzhen are shrinking due to urbanization and land development. The study used GIS, RS technology, and field research to analyze the changes. Mangrove marshes and silt beaches decreased, while delta swamps increased. Human activities like construction and pollution are major threats to the wetlands. Efforts are needed to protect wetlands through collaboration among scientists and experts in various fields.
