The researchers studied how spraying a plant hormone called GA_(3) on different types of rice panicles affected their traits. They found that using GA_(3) at different growth stages increased plant height and the length of the panicle when it was forming. The differences between the two types of panicles were less noticeable with GA_(3) treatment.
