Polluted River Threatens Drinking Water for Millions in Baoji
The study looked at water quality in Baoji during the dry season, focusing on the Weihe River and its three tributaries. They measured key pollutants in 12 monitoring sections and used a method called the integrated pollution index to rate water quality. Results showed all rivers were seriously polluted, with the worst water quality type. Pollution, especially from nitrogen, was the main issue, and each river showed a clear pollution trend from upstream to downstream.
