A new type of rice called T78A was created with top-notch grain quality and strong combining ability. It was developed by crossing different rice varieties and selecting for desirable traits like high sterility and outcrossing rate. The resulting hybrids, like T78 A/Zaohui 89 and T You 7889, have shown both high yield and quality. T You 7889, in particular, has been released to farmers in Fujian Province due to its excellent quality, high yield, and adaptability, making it a promising choice for commercial production.
