A study in a rice-producing area tested a new fertilization method to increase crop yield. By using less fertilizer and adding pig manure, they found that rice yield increased without changing the total yield. Adding more nitrogen and potassium before the rice plants flower also helped boost early rice yield. Overall, the new method improved nutrient efficiency in the crops.
