A soil moisture sensor was designed to measure moisture at different depths in the soil. The sensor node circuit is low-cost and uses little power. When soil moisture increases, the sensor output voltage decreases. The sensor's maximum error is -5.10%. It can accurately measure moisture changes in the soil profile and performs well overall.
