The experiment looked at how drought stress affects the amount of proline in Alfalfa plants. They used a solution to mimic drought conditions and found that the highest proline accumulation occurred in a 20% solution after 48 hours. The Alfalfa variety No. 1 zhongmu had the most proline accumulation. This shows that proline levels increase in drought conditions.
