Land desertification is a big problem worldwide, especially in China. Researchers have been working on ways to monitor and understand desertification better. They have made progress in studying methods to monitor sandy desertification in China. However, there are still challenges due to the widespread and varied types of desertification. The researchers have summarized recent advancements in monitoring methods and have suggested some improvements for the future.
