Optimized fertilization boosts summer maize yield by 23.8% on sloping land.
Optimizing fertilizer use for summer maize on sloping yellow soil can increase yield and fertilizer efficiency. A study in central Guizhou from 2008 to 2012 found that using the right amount and type of fertilizer led to a 23.8% increase in maize yield. The efficiency of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium fertilizers also improved by 2.7%, 4.7%, and 3.9% respectively. This means that by using the right fertilization method, maize plants can absorb more nutrients, resulting in higher yields. The optimized fertilization method showed the best results and can be recommended for growing summer maize on sloping yellow soil.
