They found that annual rainfall decreased slightly each year, while evaporation increased slightly. The temperature stayed about the same. Rainfall decreased from southeast to northwest, evaporation varied from east to west, and temperature decreased from southeast to northwest. There were specific years when these changes happened. The patterns in rainfall, evaporation, and temperature repeated every 17 and 28 years.
