The article reviews different models used to predict soil erosion in watersheds. These models help assess the benefits of soil conservation methods. The models are grouped into three types: empirical, theoretical, and stochastic. The focus is on empirical and stochastic models. This review can help advance the study of soil erosion in China and provides insights for future soil erosion modeling trends.
