Seasonal dynamics reveal dominant fish species in Guangxi mangroves, impacting biodiversity.
The study looked at different types of fish in a mangrove area in Guangxi, China, over the course of a year. They found 54 species of fish, with different dominant species in each season. Most of the fish preferred warmer water, and there were more bottom-dwelling species than others. The number of fish species and diversity were highest in autumn. The fish community in the creek waters had lower diversity compared to tropical mangrove areas.
