The study looked at dyeing polyester fabric in one bath with scouring to see if it works well. They found that dyeing in weak acid was better than in alkali. The new process had similar color fastness and dye-uptake rates, but slightly lower K/S values. Disperse Blue E-R dye worked best in this process.
