Healthy Cities: New Assessment Tool Unlocks Urban Sustainability
This article discusses how the health of urban ecosystems in cities impacts their sustainable development. To assess the health of these urban areas, the researchers developed a system of indicators and a model based on attribute theory. When this method was applied to Changsha City in Hunan Province, it revealed that the city's ecosystem health was moderate. This means the overall health of the city's ecosystem is okay. The method used in this study can accurately show the health of urban ecosystems, which is important for managing and improving the environment of cities.
