The technology discussed in the article focuses on a new way to make coal useful called poly-generation based on coal pyrolysis. This helps use coal in a cleaner and more efficient manner, which is important for the future. By using this method, both the coal chemical and electric power industries can work together to solve issues like low coal usage, high costs, and pollution. Many efforts are being made on this technology in China and worldwide. Through comparing different ways of using coal, the benefits and drawbacks of poly-generation based on coal pyrolysis were examined to help guide future development in this field.
