The goal of the study was to analyze the industrial structure of Northeast China and suggest ways to improve it. The researchers looked at data from 2004 to 2008 and found that the three industries in the region did not develop together, the service industry grew slowly, and agriculture was strong but not competitive. They recommended measures to help all industries grow together in a more balanced way.
