The study compared surface deformation and stress in different mining methods using computer simulations. Filling mining releases less stress than strip mining, leading to more stable rock conditions. Strip mining has higher stress areas and less stable rock than filling mining. Both methods cause less surface subsidence than caving mining. Filling mining is better at controlling surface and overburden deformation, ensuring safety for buildings.
