The economic development patterns in small watersheds of Taihang Mountain in Hebei Province were studied by investigating key areas. Four types of small watershed areas were identified based on rock characteristics and topography. The land use, industrial structure, and investment patterns of these areas were analyzed using regression and forecasting methods. The researchers found optimal economic development patterns for each type of small watershed area.
