Irrigation revolution to secure food for millions along China's Yellow River.
The researchers examined how to save water in the Yellow River area for farming. They looked at the land and water there, as well as the needs for food. They concluded that by 2030, they plan to save water on 5.173 million hectares of land in the Yellow River area. Currently, 2.513 million hectares have water-saving systems. They aim to increase water savings from 48.5% to 89.2% by then. It's important to use water wisely for farming. They also plan to develop better irrigation systems in the Heishanxia area to increase farming land to 6.588 million hectares by 2030. This will help farmers grow more food using less water and protect the environment.
