Eutrophication in lakes in China is a big problem caused by pollution from both inside and outside sources. Even if we control pollution from outside, the nutrients in the sediment can still lead to eutrophication. This means that the nutrients in the sediment are the main reason for the lake becoming too rich in nutrients.
