Optimal maize-specific fertilizer amount boosts yield and quality, study finds.
The study looked at how a special fertilizer made for maize affected the growth and yield of different types of maize plants. By testing different amounts of this fertilizer on three types of maize, the researchers found that using 525 kg per hectare was the best amount for optimal growth and yield. Using more than this amount actually decreased the yield and quality of the maize. This research can help farmers know how much of this special fertilizer to use to get the best results for their maize crops.
